The judges and fans have weighed in and the 2021 Moxie Pro Boat Final is ON! This is the second Moxie Pro Series event of the season and we have the top 8 riders in the world in this final. This final is a perfect example of how the Moxie Pro Series is the global platform for women’s competitive wakeboarding. In this final we have 4 countries represented – USA, Japan, Australia and Argentina. 

Now for the first time in the series the top riders are all in the same heat. We are looking forward to seeing who comes out on top of the podium and if some of the new names will upset some of the biggest names in the sport.

The final heat will be live online until midnight on Saturday for fan voting. Remember that for this final the fan vote and the judges scores are separate. We will have 2 winners, a judges winner and a fan vote winner.

As many expected, the 2020 Moxie Pro Overall Series Champion Meagan Ethell submitted the top line in Semi-Final Heat 1. With her signature smooth style and super technical moves she is always a good bet for the top spot. The big news in Semi-Final 1 is that Eugenia de Armas from Argentina had an incredible run and won the Fan Vote to propel her into a solid  second place right behind Maegan Ethell. Tarah Mikacich grabbed the 3rd position with a very strong run and professional women’s mainstay Taylor McCullough landed in 4th sliding into the final heat.

In Semi-Final Heat 2, 2021 Women’s Masters Champion Mary Morgan Howell put in a super strong run and backed it up with a Fan Vote win to put up the highest score from both semi-finals with an 85.25. Not far behind Mary Morgan Howell was Australian Bec Gange with her big moves and solid landings. The surprise in this heat came from relative young gun Hollie Waldrop who had an incredible run and a strong second in the Fan Vote to solidify 3rd place in this heat and bump some big names out of the finals. Hinata Yoshihara from Japan rounded out the final transfer spot to the main event.
